Early Bird Program
Co-contribute, Co-govern, Co-share.
Introduction
RentFun is an NFT renting marketplace that operates on Arbitrum with the vision of making the NFT’s utility easily and securely liquid between the Owners and Renters. The platform provides a unique opportunity for users to rent and lend NFTs for various purposes, including gaming, art, and music.
The RentFun is aimed at building a RentFun DAO to make the community fully engaged in the development and decision making of RentFun. In order to incentivize early adopters and reward active contributors, we propose implementing an Early Bird Program Design on RentFun.
The core principle of building the RentFun community is the co-contribute, co-govern and co-share, which is the main guide for the whole design.
Early Bird Program
The Early Birds Program will reward early adopters who make amazing contributions to the brand awareness, product adoption and participate in the platform’s activities.
Early Birds will receive exclusive rewards such as priority access to our WonderBird NFTs and getting the airdrop of $RENT tokens. The Early Bird program will run for a limited time, and the rewards will be distributed based on the user’s accumulated contribution score (check below) during the program period. This program will encourage users to contribute to RentFun and help build a strong user community.
Early Bird Board
RentFun is committed to ensuring the transparency and fairness of the Early Bird Program. To achieve this, RentFun will establish an Early Bird Board (EBB) which will work closely with the RentFun team to oversee and manage the implementation of the Early Bird Program and ensure that it aligns with the program’s objectives.
The Early Bird Board 2023Q3 consist of five members, including
Linkys- Early Bird Board Chief, Early Bird Program Manager of RentFun.
Dashred - WonderBird Master of RentFun.
Gangsta - Devoted Early Bird of RentFun.
The EBB members will be updated quarterly and welcome the community to apply.
Contribution Score
The Contribution Scoring System is a key component of RentFun's community engagement strategy. It measures a user's contributions to the platform and assigns points based on the quality and impact of their contributions. The higher a user's score, the more rewards they can unlock, such as $RENT token rewards, access to exclusive features, and priority support. This system encourages users to actively participate and contribute to the growth and success of RentFun. By recognizing and rewarding valuable contributions, RentFun can build a more engaged and supportive community.
In our general idea, the community could accumulate the CS in following different ways: 1) Community Content. You could make great content related to RentFun Brand or Products in the forms including threads, memes, stickers, videos and blogs, etc.
2) Testnet testing. You could raise the UI/UX suggestions and code bugs by participating in the testnet of RentFun marketplace.
3) Mainnet Adoption. You could contribute to the adoption of RentFun by renting and lending NFTs, leaving reviews, and referring new users to the platform.
Contribution Score Leaderboard
Community can check the current Early Bird Members and Contribution Score Leaderboard on this sheet. We will update it as soon as there is a change for the members and contribution scores. Additionally, we will produce a leaderboard list for each month's Early Birds' contributions, as well as a sum-up leaderboard that will rank the Early Birds' accumulated contribution scores in history. We hope this FAQ has answered your questions about the RentFun Early Bird program. If you have any further questions or feedback, please feel free to reach out to us in our Discord server.
How To Participate Before Testnet
As the testnet for RentFun is not yet released, the community’s primary way to participate in the Early Bird program and accumulate Contribution Scores (CS) is by creating exceptional content related to RentFun.
Here are the steps to become an Early Bird and start accumulating CS:
Create content about RentFun and submit it to the #Community Contents channel on our Discord server.
The Early Bird Board (EBB) will review your submission and determine whether it meets the high standards required for the Early Bird program. If the EBB approves your content, you will be granted the Early Bird role on Discord, and your Arbitrum One address will be recorded. The EBB will also award you an initial CS based on the quality of your content.
As an Early Bird member, you can continue to accumulate CS by consistently creating high-quality content related to RentFun. The EBB will determine your CS score based on the quality and influence of your contributions.
The RentFun team will keep a record of your CS and create a ranking of all Early Bird members’ scores.
Calculation Rules
Here are some potential calculation rules:
Quality of Content: this could be determined by factors such as the creativity, originality, and relevance of the content to RentFun.
Reach and Engagement: this could include metrics such as views, likes, shares, and comments. The more engagement the content receives, the higher the contribution score could be.
Type of Content: the contribution score could vary based on the type of content created. For example, videos and blog posts may be considered more valuable than memes and stickers, and thus receive a higher contribution score.
Overall, the calculation rules for the contribution score based on community-created content will depend on RentFun’s goals and priorities. RentFun will consider a combination of these factors to create a fair and effective system for rewarding community members who contribute to the RentFun brand and products through content creation. Why We Don’t Use Crew3
The Early Bird Program is all about building a valuable and trustworthy community.
We believe that genuine contributions from our members are crucial, and we want to avoid bots or airdrop hunters. Therefore, we have a manual process for evaluating content quality and influence.
This approach may take some time, but it is necessary to ensure that we onboard only true Early Birds who are committed to our community's growth and success.
So, we encourage you to participate in the program and showcase your passion for RentFun. Let's work together to build a strong and loyal community that will benefit everyone!
Transparency
The team will release the leaderboard which records the contribution scores of every early bird. Before the mainnet releasing, the team will mainly use a google sheet which every could access to record the leaderboard.
Before the mainnet launch, we will develop a separate website page to present and update the leaderboard.
